EMZ renews its confidence in Olivier Bertrand for this new promising project.
In November 2013, Olivier Bertrand entered into an agreement with the Burger King group, and was awarded the exclusive Burger King master franchise for France. Burger King had been present in France until the 1990’s, but lacking critical size, had decided to withdraw from the market. The group now considers France as a high potential. Thanks to the input from Olivier Bertrand and his managers, Burger King targets to open around 400 restaurants across France in the next decade, in order to reach a market share in the burger fast food market of around 20%.
In this context, EMZ arranged and underwrote a bond financing issued by the holding company seeded by Olivier Bertrand and his managers together with Naxicap. This financing allows to fund project roll-out of Burger King in France.
