EMZ finances an add-on investment in Burger King France alongside Olivier Bertrand in order to partly finance the acquisition of Quick.
EMZ has invested in Burger King France in 2013 in order to finance the start-up of the comeback of the brand in France. The roll-out of Burger King has proven very successful in France with a network of 42 restaurants at year-end 2015, and a high average sales per restaurant.
In December 2015, Burger King France acquired competitor Quick. Quick is the second largest burger fast food network in France with 400 restaurants. Through this acquisition, Burger King becomes the second largest player in France. Aim is to convert the 400 existing French Quick restaurants to Burger King. At the occasion of this build-up, EMZ offered an add-on bond investment in order to partly finance the acquisition.
